From an Amazon Agency
Website to a Marketing Portfolio
Christina Ink had years of content, search history, and work behind it, but the website was still built around a business I had moved beyond. I rebuilt it from the ground up to showcase the broader marketing work I do now.
Outdated Amazon Positioning
By the time I started the rebuild, the issue was deciding how much of the site's history should carry forward.
I wanted to keep the Christina Ink name, preserve useful search signals where they still made sense, and retain the strongest proof from my Amazon work without rebuilding another site that was still defined by Amazon.
Rebuilding the Website
I started with the role the website needed to play and audited its existing content and search data.
From there I mapped the new site architecture, separated portfolio work from deeper case studies, and rebuilt the content around what each page needed to accomplish.
I used the search data to decide what to remove, consolidate, and rebuild, then handled search intent, on-page SEO, internal linking, indexing, taxonomy, and the technical transition to the new site.
I also handled the copy, UX, creative direction, WordPress implementation, and AI-assisted development. Working through the HTML and CSS taught me how to troubleshoot layout and responsive issues, adjust the code directly, and refine each section across desktop and mobile.
Building the New Site Around Six Decisions
I worked backwards from the website's objective, the people using it, the information they needed, where that information belonged, what proof supported it, and what someone should be able to do next.
Objective
Audience
Information
Page Purpose
Proof
Action
Objective
Reposition Christina Ink around broader marketing and content strategy experience instead of one Amazon agency service.
Audience
Give hiring managers, marketing executives, and recruiters a clear way to understand my work and the thinking behind it.
Information
Show the range of my marketing experience, the problems I solved, the decisions I made, and the results of the work.
Page Purpose
Give each page one clear role so visitors could quickly find the level of information they needed without repeating the same content across the site.
Proof
Build around real campaigns, screenshots, case studies, work samples, and measurable results instead of broad capability claims.
Action
Create logical paths into deeper work, relevant case studies, marketing content, my resume, and contact options.
Complete Marketing Portfolio Website
The finished site is a fully functional marketing portfolio built to support discovery and professional evaluation. It gives visitors clear paths into my work, case studies, marketing content, resume, and contact information while giving me a flexible platform I can continue building on.
