ABOUT CHRISTINA

about

ME.

My marketing career has been anything but a straight line. Some people call me a demand gen expert. Others say marketing manager, creative director, or senior content strategist. That’s because I’ve genuinely done it all, and each title only tells part of the story.

From Flight Attendant to Marketing Strategist

I didn’t start in marketing. I started in the air at 40,000 feet, working for Canada’s best airline, WestJet. Then I launched an e-commerce beauty brand on a shoestring budget and spent a lot of late nights trying to figure out how to actually sell on Amazon.

What started as an experiment quickly became a crash course in everything e-commerce (check out this feature by Helium10), and I learned that what I loved wasn’t just selling products. It was helping brands grow.

Since then, I’ve spent years owning every part of the marketing function, from team leadership and campaign strategy to positioning, demand generation, and go-to-market execution, with content and SEO as part of that mix.

I do my best work on teams that value strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Strategists and creatives who can zoom out but still get in the weeds to make marketing perform.

The Path That Got Me Here…

2000

This is where it started. Studying psychology at Carleton University shaped how I understand people. How they think, decide, and act. Marketing is about behavior and that perspective guides how I approach strategy today.

2002

I moved off the beaten path in search of self-discovery, travel, and adventure, eventually landing in the Rocky Mountains of Canada. Two years in Jasper, Alberta, marked the beginning of my long-standing connection to Western Canada.

2008

The sky’s the limit. No, but for real, I started flying the friendly skies with a world-class airline that put its people ahead of its business- Westjet.

2019

I started an online brand and grew it to six figures in eight months. That result is what led me to start Christina Ink. For 7+ years, I ran an Amazon listing optimization agency, working with 7 to 9-figure brands like Nonni’s Cookies and Jaxon Lane, alongside countless Amazon agencies, like SmartScout and Riverbend Consulting.

2021

As I worked deeper with brands, it became clear that strong marketing performs best when it’s supported by a strategy, one that guides discovery and supports decisions across the entire funnel. That realization shaped the work I did for the next five years: helping businesses move beyond isolated tactics and into full-funnel marketing and content strategy.

Present

I currently work as a Content Strategist at a marketing agency, partnering with B2B, e-commerce, and hyperlocal businesses to turn content into high-converting assets. My work helps businesses get found, earn trust, and drive measurable growth across search, social, and beyond. I bring clarity, performance, and results that a team can build on.

The Values Behind the Work

Marketing Values Christina Passmore

Integrity

I do the work that earns trust, not just the work that looks good in a report.

Collaboration

The best marketing gets built with a team working together towards the same goal. We share ideas and win together.

Curiosity

I dig into the why behind a campaign because that’s where real insight lives.

Respect

Every voice in the room matters, from the strategy table to the person executing the work.

Ambition

I push for outcomes that move the business forward, and hold my own work to that standard.

The Rest of The Story

Outside of work, I’m usually at CrossFit, spending time outside, or hanging out with family and friends, plus my CEO (Chief Barketing Officer).

Chloe, who runs a tighter schedule than most executives I’ve worked with. It’s a good balance to a career built on paying close attention to what makes people pay attention.
